Denis Johnston
Denis Johnston's play about Jonathan Swift deals with the mystery of his relationships with "Stella" and "Vanessa" and the deep anger and bitterness that drove Swift through the latter part of his life. Johnston presents a novel explanation of this. The play presents a series of episodes in Swift’s career from young priest through political power broker to reclusive dean.
