Ceaptha i gcomhar leis an gcomhlacht.
Baile Átha Cliath, 1916
Set against the background of Easter Week 1916, this is the story of how one man’s dream collided with the birth of a nation. Thaddeus Maloney returns home to Ireland to realise his dream of opening a new hotel on Sackville Street (now O’Connell Street). However, it’s Easter Monday 1916 and the events of that week impact his plans. Using diary entries and recorded personal accounts, the show explores the impact the Rising had on the lives of ordinary people and introduces audiences to the history that shaped our country. A bilingual performance with live music and puppets.
