Synopsis
Sweet About Me follows 18-year-old Bernadette as she struggles with an eating disorder, a volatile relationship with a controlling mother and a body image to die for. As she spirals through an addiction treatment centre, Bernadette encounters all manner of characters, battling with their own demons, who will test, enrage and push her to her limits. It will take a lot of shouting for her to realise that she has a voice of her own. For Bernie, on the other side of rage is hope. And laughter. Through kindred spirits, who become great friends, she'll come to realise that she is not alone and that a problem shared is a problem halved.
