Vincent Mahon
A home for disabled ex-servicemen in London.
Willie, a Belfast Protestant, and Jim, a student from the Republic, work as porters in a home for ex-servicemen. A crippled soldier almost ready to leave is tormented by wheelchair-bound Sammy, who is full of bitterness about his own disability and the freedom of movement of the others. Angela, a nurse, discovers that her brother has been killed while serving with the British army in Northern Ireland.
