  • Synopsis

    When Sir Miles Mallon discovers he is dying, he sets about putting the affairs of his sons in order. These include Michael, a disappointed playwright, and George, a bacteriologist whose career ends when he accidentally blinds himself. As their father progresses in his task, debates rage on issues from politics to religion, and the Irish theatre.
