    Originally commissioned by Radio Eireann and broadcast in 1952, The Pike Theatre Club staged Moving Out and A Garden Party as a short two-act piece entitled 'The New House'. It was presented as a companion piece to 'The Big House'.

  • Synopsis

    In the very short piece Jim Hannigan's starts his day just like any other, however on his return from work he discovers that his wife has moved the family out to the new houses and he's to join them for tea...Jim was born and reared in the city and not sure how he'll cope with suburbia.
