    The setting is a small university in Wales.

  • Synopsis

    The story of a small university in Wales endowed by a defunct Welsh-American tycoon who had had an eye for personable skivvies and power and visited by his daughter, a spinster and her chosen father-replacement an academic administration-man, who is also a Welsh-American, and is incidentally taking over the university in an all-American way before assassinating his wife's father for the joy of Dean of an equivalent American foundation. The entaglement of his colleague's, the Poet, who is having an affair with the Welsh-American's wife and the Liverpudlian brain-boy who is making passes at the Lolita-ish daughter of another university resident, secretary to the principal.
