• Synopsis

  Máirtín is the eldest son in the family, he takes over his family farm and home when his father dies. He looks after his two sisters, Cáit and Bairbre and works hard to clear his father's debts. When he arranges for his sister Bairbre to marry An Brúnach Mór she runs away with Cuimín. Máirtín turns to drink and sets out to ruin all the progress he has made over the years.
