    In England Elizabeth I reigns. In Ireland Gaelic lords battle with the new English for land rights. Against this turbulent background and into the heart of the cathedral emerges Dallas Sweetman, a humble servant to the great Lysaght family. He is called on to spin his strange and epic tale of love, honour, devotion and betrayal. But is he telling the truth and can he be forgiven by us - his judges?
