• Synopsis

  Seaneen, 25 years of age, is lying in a miserable hut somewhere in the Cork mountains. It is evening and he is patiently waiting for death to come to him. Aideen, a young girl of 19, enters to find him very weak. She chides him when he talks about waiting for death and tells him not to be so despondent. When he persists she tells him that she is in love with him and that he will have to make the effort for her sake. Seaneen is convinced that he will ruin both of their lives, and is prepared instead to die...
