Rural Ireland; the present day (2010)
Juliette is the coolest, most popular girl in her village, but she wants out - and she plans to get out. Juliette has always dreamt of being a professional dancer and next week she plans to audition for the London School of Dance. Her boyfriend Dorek is Polish; for him Ireland is a land of opportunity and Juliette is the girl of his dreams. However Dorek has a rival for Juliette’s love - Carl Carnage Carney. Carnage is a rebel without a cause who idles away his time, ripping around the back roads, in his souped-up Saloon with his two faithful companions Grease and Sideshow Rob.
When Juliette and Dorek land themselves in trouble for giving her mother’s dog a dose of alcohol poisoning they call on Carnage for help. But Carnage’s help comes at a price. Dorek must pass a test; a test involving a fast car, a hump-back bridge, and a ghost. What follows is a night that no one in their small town will ever forget.
A play about the consequences of reckless driving behaviour.
