Luke

OVERVIEW

  • Playwright

    Mairéad Folan

  • Synopsis

A tale of survival, adventure and friendship that follows Luke – who is not in fact human, but a 30-year-old walking frame – and his sidekick Mairéad. Together they negotiate the perils of the Irish education system, the dance floor, love, and loss. Luke has always been a guy Mairéad could lean on but can their unique bond survive the ultimate challenge? A comic and moving play that asks tough questions about society, and how we perceive ourselves and others.
