Haunted

OVERVIEW

  • Playwright

    Tara Flynn

  • Notes

Presented in a double bill with If These Wigs Could Talk by Panti Bliss.

  • Synopsis

After the successful campaign to repeal Ireland’s Eighth Amendment and legalise abortion, Tara Flynn came crashing down. Having been swept up in canvassing, the aftermath brought calm, quietness and the realisation that her efforts to help others had also kept her from dealing with her own father’s death. In Haunted, Tara Flynn tracks the stories of an evolving Ireland, asking how much really changed in her father’s long lifetime, and wonders whether familiar stories are destined to be re-told and re-told, keeping the past and present constantly within touching distance.
