Desperate Optimists is the UK-based creative partnership of Dubliners Christine Molloy and Joe Lawlor. From 1992 to 1999 they devised, directed and performed in six touring theatre shows before shifting their attention towards moving image based work. For the 2013 Dublin Theatre Festival, the wrote and directed Tom and Vera, their first stage production in 12 years.
