    Established in 2000, the Festival of World Cultures, a Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council event, carves Celebrating its 10-year Anniversary this July, the dlr Festival of World Cultures has become Ireland’s largest and most-loved intercultural celebration, and one of the best music and arts festivals internationally. It celebrates the vibrancy and diversity of artistic practice from around the globe through a dynamic combination of free and ticketed world music concerts, club nights, theatre and dance performances, exhibitions, film, circus, workshops, food fairs, crafts markets, master classes and special events for children.

    Attracting over 200,000 visitors annually, the dlr Festival of World Cultures challenges preconceptions, expands the experience of the arts and broadens the understanding of art and culture in a global context. It strives to excite, inform and create awareness of the artistic worth and potential of a multicultural society and is a proud presentation of people’s identity, with an emphasis on the traditions and cultures inherent to Ireland’s ethnic communities.
