Louise Melinn is a playwright from Dublin. She is Co- Artistic Director of ChalkTalk Theatre Company, founded in December 2012 to produce new writing and a member of White Label - a theatre collective established in 2014 to support new work. In 2011, her play Billy received a rehearsed reading as part of the Abbey Theatre’s New Playwrights Programme. Louise was a participant on The Abbey Theatre’s Playwrights Programme 2010, The Stewart Parker Trust writer’s week in 2011 and The Next Stage in association with the Dublin Theatre Festival in 2012. Plays not listed here include You Can’t Just Leave, There’s Always Something (co-writer) Spilt Gin Theatre Company, Absolut Fringe, 2011, nominated for three Fringe awards including Best New Writing; and Squat (Solstice, Cork Midsummer Festival, 2012).
