Paul Vincent Carroll

1900 - 1968

Born in Louth. His play 'Shadow and Substance' was the winner of the Casement Award and the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award in 1937 and 'The White Steed' was rejected by the Abbey in 1939 and premiered in New York, where it won Drama Critics’ Circle Award.
