Harley Granville-Barker

1877 - 1946

All-round theatre practitioner who was responsible for championing George Bernard Shaw at the experimental Court Theatre where he produced many of his plays from 1904. He also is credited with revolutionising the way Shakespeare could be staged with a degree of naturalism.
