Philip Davison

Philip Davison was born in Dublin in 1957. He has written ten novels. He has had one stage play produced, The Invisible Mending Company (Dublin, The Abbey Theatre, Peacock Stage, 1996). He has co-scripted the film dramas Exposure, and Criminal Conversation. He scripted Learning Gravity (BBC Storyville), a documentary film on poet and undertaker, Thomas Lynch. His plays for radio are: Being Perfect (RTE), The Duke (RTE), Lennon's Guitar (RTE), The Fishmonger (RTE), Some Lizards (RTE), Love and Animals (BBC, RTE, CBC, ABC, RNZ), On Being Flattened (RTE), One-Way Telephone (RTE), Jumping Hedges (RTE), Lockie's Umbrella (RTE), Eureka Dunes (RTE), Lollies Earth Rod (RTE), Quiet City (RTE).  Also for radio,The Neighbourhood (stories for children read by Ciarán Hinds). Recipient of a BBC/Stewart Parker award for radio drama. He is a member of Aosdána.
