Colin Bateman

1962 -

Colin Bateman is a novelist and screenwriter from Bangor, Co. Down. He has written 35 novels, including Divorcing Jack and Mystery Man. He wrote the screenplays for the movies Divorcing Jack and Wild About Harry and created the long-running television series Murphy's Law for the BBC. He also wrote two series of the Irish language newspaper drama, Scup. He was made an Honorary Doctor of Letters by the University of Ulster in 2010 for his services to literature.
