Ann Matthews is a historian and lecturer at NUI Maynooth. Her research interests include the role of women in the 1913 Lockout and the Republican movement, 1900-1941. In 2015, her play Madame De Markievicz On Trial premiered at The New Theatre in Dublin, and toured throughout Ireland in 2016.
