Sue Mythen
Stone Ghosts was originally produced by Rondo Theatre Company as a two-hander at the New Theatre Dublin, and was revived for the Dublin Fringe Festival in 1999. The piece was subsequently produced as a one-woman show (as listed) as a double bill with 'The Red Sandals' by Ena May (listed separately) as part of 'Womanly Whims', a season of new plays by female Irish writers presented by Tall Tales Theatre Company.
Based on the work of 19th-century French sculptor Camille Claudel, this performance piece deals in theatrical terms with Claudel's central preoccupation - the primacy of physical experience and the expressive possibilities of the body.
