Hilary Fannin
Doldrum Bay is a play about the loves and losses of a group of stranded forty-somethings. As Magda comes to terms with her demanding father's terminal illness, her husband Francis seduces young mermaids with extracts from his yet-to-be completed Great Irish Novel. Events take a turn for the surreal when his friend Chick approaches him with an offer he can't refuse: to write the ultimate ad campaign to sell God to the nation.
