Wesley Burrowes
The action takes place in the study of the Dean of Ards and Duck, and thereafter alternates between the Men's Reading Room and the Mens Confraternity on Duck Island situated off the coast of Co. Down, in Strangford Lough.
This comedy is set on the allegorical island of Duck, where people hold beliefs because their fathers, grand-fathers and great-great-grandfathers held them. Change is considered to be an insolent affront to the natural order, and the earnest efforts of professional conciliators and international do-gooders are seen to be about as useful and practical as the gold on whin-bushes.
