James McKenna
'At Bantry' was a prizewinning play form the previous year's 1916 Commemoration and was presented alongside an Irish Language piece entitled 'An Choinneal'.
When Wolfe TOne managed to attain support from the French fOrces, it inspired confidence in a people to revolt against it's occupying forces. McKenna's verse play retells the story of the 1798 Rebellion.
