William Butler Yeats
This play was later rewritten in Ballad Metre by Yeats and presented under the title The Green Helmet, at the Abbey Theatre on the 10th February 1910.
A bitter argument arises between a band warriors over ownership of a golden helmet. Cuchulain offers his life for the helmet and is thus ultimately deemed most worthy of it.
