  • Synopsis

    The markets area of Belfast in the run up to the 1949 Stormont elections. Sam and Anna are a young couple with hopes for a bright future. Around them we meet a group of women - second-hand dealers operating on one of the many blitz sites in the city, a young labour enthusiast and a woman from a different social background who is more aware than the others of local government's effects on their expectations.
