• Synopsis

  This play deals with a dilemma of cultural identity and revolves around an Anglo-Irish family which becomes involved in the War of Independence. They hate the Volunteers on the one hand but they also despise the activities of the Black and Tans. The daughter Maighread is in love with Domhnall Ó Súilleabháin, the local Volunteer leader.
