Manchán Magan is a writer, journalist and documentary-maker. His debut play, 'Broken Croí- Heart Briste', first staged as part of the Dublin Fringe Festival, went on to win the Stewart Parker Trust Award for best Irish Language Play in 2009. He has made over 30 travel documentaries focusing on issues of world cultures and globalization for RTE, TG4, the Travel Channel and History Channel. His programmes are shown in 25 territories around the world. No Béarla, his documentary series about travelling around Ireland speaking only Irish sparked international debate.
