Ray Mac Mánais

Ray Mac Mánais was born in Ardoyne, Belfast, and now lives in Co. Meath. He has written poetry, children’s books, plays, and television scripts for RTÉ and BBC, and has been awarded prizes in numerous literary and music competitions. He was appointed the President’s (Mary McAleese) Irish tutor in 1997 following her election and has also written her biography. He is principal of an all-Irish primary school in Dublin.
