Shán Ó Cuív

Born John Michael O'Keefe in Macroom, Co. Cork in 1875. Both writer and journalist, he was very involved in the Gaelic League. He took a great interest in the teaching, pronunciation and spelling of Irish. He spearheaded the 'Leitriú Shimplí' movement.
