Tomás Ó Ceallaigh

1879 - 1924

Born in Sligo. He had a great interest in music. He composed songs and published a collection of songs he collected in Conamara, 'Ceol na nOileán' in 1931. 'Airgead na Croise Caoile' and 'Ar thaobh na Locha' are among the plays he wrote and he also translated plays by WB Yeats and Pádraic Colum.
