An alumnus of the New Playwright's Programme in the Abbey Theatre, his short play Maeve in the Lamplight was performed as part of the Abbey's Into the Woods series play readings. He was shortlisted for the Maguire International Playwriting Award for The Big Fellahs, and The Anti-Apologists was selected for the Last Frontier Theatre Conference in Alaska.
